I celebrate my 28th anniversery tomorrow and I am 62 years young. I intend to skipper till the day I die, can't say that about any other game. Thinking is what counts in this, not youthful reflexes.
Not too many still come here from when I joined in 2002.
But each group of skippers always bring something to the table.
Great site and a great simulation.
This has always been a friendly, flame free place to visit.

Cool! I had no idea you were my age! Congratulations on your long marriage. :sunny: I would have been married 38 years this June, but instead I've been divorced for 27. Never remarried, but them's the breaks. :D

Are you and I all that is left of the class of "2002" here?

Boompus 04-20-12 02:04 PM

BTW: are there any women involved here, or is this a typical "men only (not: women not allowed)" thing... ?

Herr-Berbunch 04-20-12 02:08 PM

At least some. I know of a handful but who knows really?

As a guy who considers himself lucky to have 37 years in with a very kind and understanding woman I can only say, Telemon, you must have hooked a good one!:D

Congratulations and all the best.:salute:

I'm at a ripe ol 62. So I'm not the oldest nor would I like to be the youngest. I've play SHIII since it came out. It's burnt me out and then gotten me back at it again. Same with SH 4 and 5. SHIII is a sim you can't put away for very long, if at all. To me it's the best sum sim I've ever palyed. Especially with all the great mods.

My real start in simulations was with HW3 back in 2000 with B-17II. The good days with long lost friends, and with new ones these days. Good to see you around Dave. Say hi to the guys for me. :salute:

Well, there are several who have been here longer, but from that year? I don't know.

That's three of us on one thread. Sounds like 62 is the age to be!
