Turns 43-47 (18:00-13:00)
Fighting continues everywhere. My troops are overwhelmed. The end is nigh. Situation in the town at 15:00 http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...2-17-02-60.jpg Around 13:30 I gambled and rushed the tiger into the town to support my diminishing troops. Surprisingly a sherman was waiting and it managed to shoot twice at my tiger (one hit the wheels and one weapon mount). Even more surprisingly, tiger's armor withstood the shells. http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...9-42-29-90.jpg Then the expected happened and tiger commander decided to this: http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...9-42-48-62.jpg Reverse and launch smokes... Didn't even try to shoot the sherman. I ordered the tiger to charge back there and finish that malevolent sherman... |
Turn 48 (13:00-12:00)
...and the tiger commander decided to disobey me. The tiger didn't move an inch. here's the idiot himself. http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-41-35-02.jpg Right flank is basically broken. http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-39-58-90.jpg I try to get that tiger moving once more. If the moron decides to disobey again: immediate decapitation. Also, I forgot that I had ordered a mortar strike. The mortars fired their last grenades just there where the sherman is. Pure accident. Of course it didn't damage the sherman but at least the grenades hopefully disorients the crew so that they will panic when they see my tiger again. Turn 49 (12:00-11:00) Tiger moves! But doesn't spot the sherman. http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-58-42-28.jpg My forces are pretty much torned up but I want to destroy that sherman before I will offer my surrender! |
Turns 50-51 (11:00-09:00)
I moved the tiger forward but couldn't spot the sherman. Then suddenly, I hear .50cal and I knew what happened: http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-44-45-72.jpg Sherman flanked my tiger... However, the hit took out only my tracks and I was most pleased when I saw this: http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-45-13-36.jpg For some unbelievable reason, sherman's commander decided to target my troops on the right side rather than finish off the tiger which barrel now points at the sherman. |
Turn 52 (09:00-08:00)
Tiger's commander managed to blurt out fire order. http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...8-10-26-87.jpg http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...8-10-59-61.jpg Apparently the sherman's hit didn't take out the tracks. So tiger's commander made (again) the only, wise, choice which could be made in that situation: smoke'em and retreat... http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...8-11-47-27.jpg Turn 53 (08:00-07:00) I surrendered to the enemy. Besides that tiger I have no troops which could perform any kind of efficient attacks. Had the game continued Dowly would have eventually claimed the victory anyway. |
Turn 55 (06:00-05:00)
Germany surrenders and the game ends. http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...8-51-54-35.jpg I was amazed by the amount of Dowly's troops. At the start I had around 219 soldiers, Dowly had 382. Considering that I lost a platoon at the start, I never really had a chance to win. Screenshots from the end. That town is like an ants' nest! http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...8-53-24-18.jpg http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...8-53-38-06.jpg http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...8-53-46-22.jpg At the end my beloved tiger's commander, Herdel "Mike Wazowski" (pic), outperforms himself: http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/a...8-53-02-01.jpg Amazingly, he still managed to rack up 40 kills and take out two enemy tanks... All in all, I'd say I chose quite a fitting title. |
