BTW the Su-25T Russian attack aircraft from FC2 is free as part of the DCS download with P-51 - Download it, it's free.

DCS World is a single, unified core for all DCS products to operating within. Rather than separate installations for each DCS products, the single DCS world interface allows the user to access all of their DCS products in a common user interface. DCS world also includes a DCS News service and will allow users to purchase DCS titles through the interface at a later point.

DCS World will be updated as DCS evolves with changes to the rendering system, AI units, AI logics, effects, etc. All aspect of the simulation, outside the flyable aircraft, add-on maps, and other paid-for content.

The current DCE World is still in beta and will evolve over time with new features.

The initial DCE World comes with a free flyable aircraft, the Su-25T (exported from Flaming Cliffs 2).

Quick question about DCS World.

If I have bought A-10C via Steam and just bought Black Shark 2 via Gamefly, can DCS World still 'tie' them together in a single installation? :06:

Yes, basically you ditch your current installs and install DCS:-World and the required aircraft modules.

Investigating the possibility of having a counterpart for P-51 in future I need help searching for the wind tunnel data of Bf-109 or FW-190 (or even Zero). I must say that it does not mean that the next flyable plane will be of these types . It means that maybe an AI plane to shoot at will be added if we have good 3D model. But even an AI plane must fly at proper trajectory, mustn't it?

All available NACA resources have no necessary data. The British resources could contain something interesting because I am not sure I know them all. And German resources are still Terra Incognita for me because of my extremely poor German (as well as Japaneeze).

What kind of data will be priceless:
- wind tunnel or flight test measurements of lift carpet, L/D polars, moments, etc
- performance diagrams (though I have a lot, there is always something I would be very happy to get)

Only professional documents of WW II is required, not contemporary estimations.

Please, do not flood this thread - if you have questions and wishes, what plane to make first, you can write a private message

Question!

Does the gun camera switch actually do something? Or is it there just because
there was one in the real P-51D?

Arclight 07-21-12 05:58 AM

Doubt it, A-10 has a switch for it as well but non-functional as far as I know.

Only mention I found in the manual was the gun-arm switch, nothing specific about the camera.

Since the switch only has off-gun+camera-camera, you wouldn't have an option to turn it off anyway, would be rather impractical. :hmmm:

Yup, that seems to be the case.
