I remember him from Dragnet, and the Sheriff in John Wayne's last movie, The Shootist, as well as MASH.

The scene I most remember is when Frank runs over Col. Potter's jeep, Potter draws his pistol and shoots the jeep dead like a good Calvary officer should.

A real shame to lose such a fine actor.
