Well it is obvious the Cyclops ship glitched up and went out of its way points and sank the poor u-boat.:wah: And yes the Cyclops exist in game. I'll try to post a screenshot but whenever I try to take one it won't appear in the file It's supposed too.

just get close to the location, then hit end mission. At the bottom it will say dock at shipname/dock name

or if its not there it will say return to base, if it says that just say continue mission.

This is worth of tryin. couldn;t remember problems finding u-tankers before, but who knows. But maybe it's something wrong with this particular u-tanker ?

Couple of occasions I have been in the area and sweet nothing but if I send a radio report then the boat turns up.

Tested and Yes it works this way if you find difficult to get in visual range with U-tanker.
