Could you explain, and possibly point out where that function lives, that i might use it to my own nefarious ends?

In GWX you click on the navigator at bottom left of screen and a number of options appear, eg Kiel In and Kiel Out.

The above was scripted into the mod using Mission Editor.

Based on my experiences using those two buttons, I think they should be renamed to 'Smash boat into rocks' and 'Let your grandmother drive'.

I always do it manually.

The best bit is that he's using the 30th Flotilla's campaign. :D

That is most likely because you need to immediately set the order 'follow waypoints' befeore the boat moves too far off course.

That's what I always do, and I've never had any issues with crashing in the canal.

Rgr that...the trick is to give the order before the boat has moved more than a few metres.

Just reading through the thread got me thinking about a question that was brought up a while back regarding pre-plotted courses from bases such as Willy.

Obviously plotting the waypoints in ME is simple enough, but how would one go about associating the course with the player unit in the SCR layer? :hmmm:

Jimbuna 10-14-11 05:25 PM

You set the plot as a base then adjust to make it identical as a flotilla plot.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure I'm reading you on this. Are you saying multiple versions of the same plot, and if so, how do you assign as flotilla? :hmmm:

I like where this is going... I thought I read something about an autopilot for... WAC? or was it... aha! LSH3. I'll review.
Anyrate, never have problems outbound, just inbound.

flotilla plot?
scr?
*research*

edit: LSH3 has points on the map to place a waypoint to launch inbound/outbound transit patterns...

I use the Wilhelmshaven Schleuse mod, which adds locks and gates to the harbors. I have to do it manually. Also, for me that adds immensely to the experience. Plotting waypoints is easy, and sticking to the center of the canals are easy enough that I keep my "When Near Land" TC setting at 128x. I never crash. :sunny:
