SUBSIM Radio Room Forums - Remake of 'Syndicate' is in the works :)

The screenshots do look very Syndicate. Not too keen on it being an FPS, because I liked the frantic action trying to manage your whole team in the first one and the idea of you being the unseen manipulator of some despotic megacorp was very, very cyberpunk.

But I wouldn't discount it due to genre choice, especially since at the time it was released, Syndicate was fairly 'new and different'. Today? Very primitive for a RTS, and much of the atmosphere was provided by it's interface, music, etc.

It'll be easier to create the proper 'vibe' with an FPS, since the player is more immersed. We'll see, I guess.
