You have no frigging idea what you talk about....
News flash.....
The border with Egypt was just a regular peace time border.
Now it will be closed down and dealt as any security risk border.

Really?
How many borders have such severe restrictions on them?
remind me again how many troops and border police is egypt alowed within how many miles of the border?
How many is Israel restricted to?
That egyptian border , what states is it between?
"Regular peace time border":har::har::har::har::har: you just can't help yourself:doh:

That would make sense if they had crossed the border at a crossing. You can close down crossings just like you can blockade goods that pass through a crossing.

.

You don't need armored divisions to deal with this kind of threat.

.

Look at the above.
The egyptian border was least patrolled border with least of security threats by least trained troops.
Situation in Sinai in Mubarak time allowed hundreds of thousand of Israeli spend vacation there each year.
Yeas there had been occasional problems but security on Egyptian side was relatively good.

Believe me its beyond your expertise.
Israel has long experience in how to deal with issues like that.

How does that answer the question?

How does that marry with your statement?

Unfortunately that is the case, unfortunately issues continue and unfortunately terrorists evolve their methods with experience too.
Like the bus driver found in all his years on that route running soldiers back to their homes he never had nothing like that happen before.
Remind me again as it is beyond my experience, why did they suggest that Thursday was chosen for the attack?

Terrorist tactics evolve according to situation on the ground and political climate.
The deterrence of Egyptian government has currently deteriorated and Sinai became lawless region.A fact immediately exploited.
While closing border 100% may not be possible action can be taken to minimize the possibility of deep insurgence to Israel.

It seems that the current Egyptian military government is not interested in escalating the situation and is taking action in this regard which hopefully will give some results.
As the future of Egypt seems uncertain it's clear that it will not be the same down the south.

Why Thursday...-because they don't like mondays.
