To be honest with you pal, I don't think there IS an easy solution, other than to either wait for somebody to develop something which is kinder to our kind of machine, or ultimately - upgrade!

Seriously though, I've got much the same kinda problem. I HAVE noticed however, a marked increase in my frame rates, when I did the following:-

Added in OLC Gold mark 2, and THEN re-enabled my 8km GWX 3.0 scene.dat file (which I have set as a separate mod) on over the top, ingoring the warnings about incompatability with currently enabled mods.....The only problem THIS caused me was that the sky was black all the time.....

I think it is also a question of our type of machine being unable to cope with anything above an 8km visual radius. I would advise we perhaps look for something with an 8km or even better 6 or 4km radius of visual viewpoint..

reason I say this, is that i noticed a marked decrease in processing speed when viewing anything outside the sub when Im using the 16km scenery compared to the 8km version which comes with GWX.

only downside would be that you would have to be alot more careful when approaching enemy convoys etc, which would lend much more to you listening using the hydrophones etc.

You want someone to make a mod that reduces the stock visibility? That's counterproductive.

The only real solution is to buy a real graphics card. The onboard chip you have is junk.
