It's interesting that the article says the fire was in #1 engine, yet both wings are intact. I'm curious to read the whole story. Still, I agree it was the proverbial good landing for the crew.
I love the video of the fly-along. My only complaint is that the cameraman didn't to a full 360 sweep from the top turret. |

This is the same B-17 that was badly damaged in the 1979 tornado that destroyed the old Bradley Air Museum in Windsor Locks.
Poor plane must have bad karma. :damn: |
