Happy birthday, Anthony!

For comparison's sake - you're still in what I graduated from before you were born...

Leave it to the little guys to make a guy feel old. Happy birthday, you bastard. :D:D

Be careful what you wish for. You can joke about being rude in the mall, but the reality is not something to look forward to.

My parents are so old (late 60's) that they're blowing whatever inheritance I would get on me early.
They must have started late. :hmmm: When I was your age my dad wasn't even 50 yet.

Well your father held onto the urge for a fair length of time :O:

(Meant in a joking/respectful context)

I will be 47 this fall but my older sister turned 59 and my older brother turned 69 earlier this year. I was, as they put it in their kinder moments, the "surprise."

Still not quite the 20-year gap your mum got surprised with though. But I can remember being in high school and having not only veteran teachers who were younger than my parents, but veteran teachers whose parents were younger than my parents.

In some ways it sucks but in other ways it's kind of cool - because my parents were young during the Depression and WWII, I grew up getting a lot of exposure to things that a lot of kids my age knew nothing about - like "pop culture" and firsthand history from that era. Plus I still got schooled in stuff from subsequent generations by my siblings.

...

Really? I honestly got the impression you were atleast a generation younger? :sunny:

P.S. I'm the oldest of my brother and cousins and 35 now. Got my first car just a month ago. Some just wake up late in the day.

I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys'R'Us kid!

Makes sense, I didn't really start to feel like an adult until my late 20s. Still don't act like one a good deal of the time. :O:
