Moving on, I'm going to have to say VIIB is creeping back onto my favourites list. II was there for a while, but I feel it is time for a break. Don't want to be sick of the sub for when U-BOOT_HAHD comes out :D |
I have done all my campaigns in a VII B. Why? I was too lazy to swap. Now I feel really comfortable with the VII B. It is like using the same old car for decades.
For a quick single mission, I use the boat that is offered by the single mission design, belonging to date / location. But it does not feel the same.... |
Love the IXB.

IXD2. Nobody screws with my pregnant sea cow! :arrgh!:

For me IX B/C is my first and only choice.

Type IX here but I do like the Type XXIII as the war nears its end.

I like the IXD2

My favourite is a VIIC. It's quite good at turning, fast at diving, dives as deep as anything else and has a torpedo load that can cause a lot of havoc. I feel that IX's are not as safe and type II's are too weakly armed and short ranged. Type VII is a good compromise that destroys anything in any kind of waters up to 1942 and after that gives one some slim chance of surviving.
(And it's cute.) |

Looks like the flag ship of the yellow duck flotilla. :haha: |

Come to think of it this duck is better armed than a type IXC - it doesn't have to reload it's huge, powerful looking beak. I bet it just rips battleships to pieces with it. And it's got better endurance - it can refuel itself just by fishing something to eat. However the duck can't dive too well. That's why I plan to stick to my VIIC, for now. :arrgh!: Ducks are good at flying, though... Should I switch to IL-2 Sturmovik and choose this duck as my airplane... I really have to consider this one:hmmm: |
maybe useful as a Trojan Horse, eehm Duck?
After all the crews of the Homefleet found out that there was not a single German uboat trying to raid Scapa Flow for a fortnight or so, they noticed a mighty grand yellow rubberduck floating towards the southern entrance of the Scapa Flow Bay... The rest is history |
