Ah yup, and there he comes with frames from Red Son. Again, strongly encourage people to give that one a try - I've never been a comic book fan, but loved Red Son

Superman a Red? Can Mickey Mao be far behind?

I bet it was the new so called "improved" Wendy's fries that made Superman defect. :arrgh!:

A subtle attempt to impress anti-government ultra left wing views upon the minds of our youth. And people wonder why I buy ammo by the case.:shifty:

More likely a less than subtle attempt to sell more comics by garnering free publicity from the likes of Glenn Beck going on about the controversy. Then, in a follow-up issue Superman sees the errors of his ways and comes back into the fold just like Captain America did. It's a win-win for DC Comics. However, this sort of manipulation will probably turn some readers off as well.

This is what really got Glenn Beck fired from FOX when he tried to warn the public about it. Ladies and gentlemen this goes all the way to the top. George Soros thats right I said George Soros is personally overseeing Superman's transition to the darkside. Soros close and personal friend Donald 'The Donald' Trump owns controlling shares in Aquafina, Dansai, and Perrier is involved too. He is introducing mind control drugs in the water supply which make people read these so called comic books. This is way bigger than anyone could have ever imagined.

Glenn Beck is starting to remind me of the Colonel Flagg character from MASH. Patriotic and psychotic at the same time.

You buy ammo by the case because of a comic book

Platapus 04-30-11 11:25 AM

Col Flagg. Awesome character! One of my favourite characters on that show. Edward Winter played that character so well. :yeah:

claybirdd 04-30-11 06:08 PM

I buy ammo by the case because I believe our country is in the craper and about to get flushed. I was an eagle scout an therefore my motto is "be prepared". I firmly believe that one day beans and bullets will be the modern day dollar.
I'll be honest though I haven't read superman since jr. high. However, I clearly remember the "truth, justice, and american way" that he stood for. I guess two out of three aint bad huh?:-?

Platapus 04-30-11 06:12 PM

I always thought it was Truth, Justice or the American way? :DL

My favorite Flagg moment, as best I can remember...

Flagg: I was never here. I'm the wind.
*lights go out*
*a thud is heard*
*followed by an "oof"*
*lights come back on*
*Hawkeye looks out of tent*
Hawkeye: I think the wind just broke its leg.

I loved that scene too. My favorite Flagg line was, "Don't play dumb, you're not as good at it as I am." :D

Platapus 04-30-11 07:53 PM

"You think you're real smart. But you're not smart; you're dumb. Very dumb. But you've met your match in me." :D
