First eel at "B", second at "E".
|
B in heavy seas, either with an impact or magnetic.
OR E with magnetic in flat seas. If she proved stubborn, and I was unable to deck-gun her (as in this case, as she is bristling with guns), then a magnetic under G to finish her, if necessary. BTW, that is one butt-ugly ship. |
I usually aim in front of a ships bridge (D), but if a ship is larger I put 2 eels into it aiming in front and behind the bridge.

Well, it depends how confident I am with my TDC settings. If I think my speed estimate is a little off, I'll try to account for it with my aim.
But generally I like to put my first torp into the bow area, section B and let physics help with the sinking. And I usually try to put another one under the funnel, as I like to fire two per target. |

Far from being cross, perhaps the other side would consider granting a medal for oceanic beautification. :haha: |

Personally I'd have identified that as a Large Cargo but hey ho.....:D |
Remember, the Liberty ships weren't made to be pretty. All they had to do was last for a few years.

Assisted targetting - B and G to try and flood the holds.
Manual targetting - usually somewhere around K! |
Depends on weather as mags are liable to go boom in heavy seas well short of the target but usually I have been aiming for E so at least if I need more eels they don't have to be stern shots at a rapidly departing foe!
In calm seas a mag under B seems to be the order of the day :lurk: |
i always try for a bow shot, if I can. Ammo/Fuel second choices:salute:
