Late: Button ran his F1 car at Mount Panorama during the week. If Bernie wants to move the race from Melbourne, I'd lobby for the Mountain to have it, if we can keep it.

Will be watching tonight with 4 and 20 pies, Mars Bars and Weet Bix...from the infield at Fontana. I've got tickets for the 400 tomorrow.

I agree 100% as you can tell by my sig... the Cutting and the Dipper may be highly dangerous for F1s in race traffic though lol

I love that vid, has both my favourite drivers. I don't root for who I think will win, just the guy I find the most likeable.

I'd vote for Bathurst. It would be awesome! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4XVF3jJL5Q

Watching Melbourne live now with a beer or six right now.:D

Lap 12 and it's getting interesting with the soft tires going off on the RB cars.

EDIT: Game over Finger boy is back.:damn: Webber no better than 5th. Good drive by Hamilton for 2nd with a damaged and a podium for Lotus Renault. good result for them without Kubicka.

What a dull race.

Sammi79 03-27-11 06:35 PM

Well done Petrov. Hamilton also. otherwise...

I am gonna have to make a real effort to watch these 'races'

Highbury 03-27-11 09:53 PM

Yeah, if it is just going to be processional behind Seb the Finger I'll just go back to watching V8 Supercars. Last weekend they actually had multiple cars changing positions on track. They call it passing. Several passes together is referred to as racing! Bernie, take note!

Which is why I'm watching the MotoGP/Moto2 instead, much more exciting:yep:

STEED 03-28-11 01:27 PM

F1 needs to be beefed up.

How about racing with machine guns? :O:

Highbury 03-29-11 10:25 AM

The thing is, the boring factor is not just the cars, or the rules, it is also the drivers we have now.

How often does a driver interview contain the phrase "it was very difficult".. whinge, mope etc etc. I just want one of them to say, just once. "How do you think it was? I was driving one of the 20 best cars in the world. It was F*&^in awesome!!"

Schroeder 04-10-11 05:32 AM

Finally something that could be considered a race.:DL

STEED 04-10-11 07:06 AM

Yet another drive in the countryside.... Boring.

RACE DAMMIT RACE...I WANT ACTION!

The F1 rule book is killing this sport with over the top rules & regulations and driver's that drive like women. :damn:

Oberon 04-10-11 09:39 AM

Did Petrov used to fly planes or race rally before his F1 career? :hmmm:

Did you watch a different race than I did? Actually we had quite some wheel to wheel racing this time.

STEED 04-10-11 12:47 PM

Yep I watched it live and it was boring, few friends of mind watched the re-run and all of them were angry at another dull race. And as I type this post just got email from another saying it was so boring he turn off!

VipertheSniper 04-10-11 12:51 PM

I thought it was a good race, but maybe I'm sooooooo used to the processions that normally are called an F1 race that I would call this one exciting
