Everyone is different and that's the beauty of it isn't it?
16km Atmosphere is a good one too, it raises the 'draw' for distance, you can see further, so can your crew!

Also if your PC can handle it, enable the FM new interior mod, it is a must imho:
GET IT HERE

Update your version of JSGME, i notice yours is 2.2.0, from 2008, new version:
GET IT HERE

Agree, i don't use it either.

Excellent post, I have upgraded my JSGME, superb find for me, Danke !!!

I tried the FM new interior mod, but my PC nearly had a heart attack...had to take it off right away. :-(

To be honest I am unsure what most of the mods that came with the GWX are for so I am trying them out one by one , upsetting my PC with some of them and trying to find the threads on others to see what they do.

There are just sooooo many to choose, is it a sound mod, a graphics mod (skins/textures/dress/ocean/sky...), a realism mod, a 'helpful' mod (like a 50kts boat and 50 eels :nope:), don't make me choose!

I love the lifeboat and debris mod, if it's early years (pre-Laconia) and it's a solo vessel I love to surface and slowly work my way through telling the people which way land is! So that'd be it.

Or there's always the... :D

Aye, there's the rub...

And that's why I hate threads like this. "Hate" in a good way, of course. The question is good, the answer not so much. :sunny:

John, you will find that a lot of if not most Mods d/l either from here or ubi forums or silenthuntermods page have a readme file included.
I'm sure you know that already.
The readme will tell you what changes occur upon enabling the mod.
Or ask away here ofc. Always happy to help, if i can't then there is a plethora of Gurus here that will.
Might save you more time and heart attacks by your PC :O:

:yep:

Also GWX comes with a monster manual which explains everything (and is a fun, if hefty, read to boot).

Let's drop a new charge.

Hitman's GUI. Can't and won't shoot eels without it.

Good choice. Besides GWX, a good "manual targeting" GUI is the most important add-on in my opinion too. (I use a slightly customized version of OLC GUI v1.2.7 myself.)

FM interior, the standard of his detail is the best. The more this mod could be expanded with extra crew members

Navigating or basically plotting anything on the map is a pain if you don't have the propper tools. So thumbs up whoever developed those reverse bearing scales for the mouse cursor. To bad they never took it the next 3 levels further:

I like to install my own mod.

In commands_xx.cfg under [cmd5] add this line:

Key1=0x6a,R,"Npad*"

It gives you instant maxTC with NumPad *

:D

Hmmm... I wonder if it could be preset to have different levels of TC? 128, 512, 8k.
