open the .gr2 file of sub

right click inside project tree

select Add File...

Select the .sim file of your sub

Look bottom of project tree for line NSS_UBoat7b.sim

double click line Unit_Submarine @ NSS_UBoat7B

under "existing behaviors"

under "render"

click "unit_submarine"

on the right window edit behavior

+unit ship
>+obj_hydro
>>+surfaced
>>>+draft

There is no draft listed Mate.
It's draught!
I have it all opened right now.

Yep this is resolved. I reduced teh draught by one meter in the goblin editor and bye bye low riding u-boat. She lays in the atlantic like she should . thanks guys for the help!

The names of things can confuse new modders at times.

Now, if you wanted to change the draught of the Ships?
You can change the DRAFT in the cfg file.

However, in earlier versions of SH, the DRAUGHT was not set in the sim file.
It was always zero with no mass settings and such.
This was found to be the cause of alot of weirdness to ships actions.
Most Major mods adjusted the sims for every ship to solve oddball issues.

Also note that changeing the draught MAY cause visual issues with wakes and such!
Then those also may need adjusted.

I havent seen any inconsistensies in regards to wake , but when i do ill sure try to fix it. And now that i,m a bit falmiliar with the goblin editor i might be sucked into modding anyway.
