No, I just downloaded SH5 and want a mega mod to fix most of the issues. I also want to have the GUI that came with SH3 or SH4. My question is does this Magnum_Opus_v0_0_1 provides this change in GUI mod? Also, how will I know if the mod is really enabled?

Yes, I put Magnum_Opus_v0_0_1 in the MODS folder under SH5. I did merge the files Magnum_Opus_v0_0_1 with the patch before doing this. Not sure if this is causing the issue?

depends whatyou mean by merging... i just go in the MO patch 2 and copy the data folder...then i go in the MO folder and paste and overwritte the data folder... then i copy the MO in the C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS and i enable via JGSME

before enabling the mod... tell me what interface you want to have in your sh5... and i will tell you how to do that (i did not understand... you want sh3 or sh4 interface?)

Thanks again. I want either SH3 or SH4 interface. Please tell me how to switch to both and I will try them to see which one I like better.

before enabling the mod go to:
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\Magnum_Opus_v0_0_1\data\Scripts\Menu

here you will find the TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py

edit this file with notepad and search for this line:
UIStyle = SH5Enhanced

for sh3 style the line must be like this:
UIStyle = SH3Style

for sh4 style line must be like this
UIStyle =SH4Style

change how do you wish ... save and enable the mod

you can look inside of this option py at more lines because from here you can adapt manny option to suit your taste for sh5 ui

great thank you. Now, I need to figure out what I like. I just switch to SH4 and noticed that fuel, CO2, etc.. indicators are overlaying the icons behind them. Is there an option to move them?

i never played sh3 or sh4 style and i not tested until now... maybe someone else could help you on this one...sorry

I remember TDW saying that the SH4 UI is a bit bugged and he dont know how to solve the problems.. yet. So better use the SH3 style, thats pretty stable.

The message box is stuck behind the gauges.

How do I move the message box above the compass and depth gauges? When I have tried to use both SH3 & SH4 interface and getting the same issue.

Is there a better UI for SH3 & 4?

Thanks, but "this Mod is not compatiable with TDW UI, nearlly all files and scripts are conflicting." I read this further down the thread above. Is this still true?

Any other UI suggestions that have the compass, depth and speed gauges that work with TDW??
