Update:

Off to the bank to find out if my credit card can be fully reimbursed....need to know what level/amount of financial loss I might be facing before I can assess the level of my response/actions.

Doing a chargeback on your credit card should be simple enough. They misrepresented what you were buying and have made no attempt to rectify the situation. Sounds pretty clear cut.

Herr-Berbunch 03-04-11 08:14 AM

I thought the costs with credit cards had to be over £100 to get reimbursed? I could be wrong!

Got some pals still at Waddo, can send the boys round to gently remind about things like Distance Selling Regulations.

By sending the boys round - I don't mean kick the **** out of him, I really do mean just to remind him! I don't know anyone like that. :O:

Edit: If you're planning on travelling down to Waddington, let me know.

Ta for the link....just printed off my Visa statement and off to the bank now.

Jimbuna 03-04-11 12:12 PM

Update:

Bank have suspended the payment and advised me that if doesn't reimburse them they will withdraw his use of Visa facilities and prosecute him themselves.

Soooooo....as I see it I now have a diecast Meteor jet for gratis but somehow I reckon he'll be eager to respond to my email soon.

Question being....will I be eager to respond? http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/6...29190fjwl3.gif

This is what I'd ordered....only 500 worldwide ever made.

This is what I received....2010 worldwide made.

:yeah:So what scale is it?

Oberon 03-04-11 02:59 PM

Understandable Jim, the WWII camo Meteor looks much better than the trainer (I presume that's training livery, looks too bloody garish to be anything else!). Diecast planes are awesome, aren't they? :yeah:

UPDATE:

Well, what a suprise...two days after the above post (3rd March) I received this email (left the address in because it has already been posted in #5):

Quote:

Jim

Please accept my apologies for the mix up on this order. The correct
model will be sent to you. When you have received your correct model,
can you return the AA35003 version to
Modelseeker
10 Vanwall Drive
Waddington
Lincoln LN5 9LT
I will reimburse the postage cost

The aircraft arrived this morning (No 107/500) so one can only presume the bank have come up trumps at their end.

Hope I can find the time to post the other aircraft back before not too long http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima.../evillaugh.gif

Very nice Jim, I see a Cold war RAF theme going there

Here's my collection:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=154097

I have a die-cast Churchill tank as well now, it's on the other side of the shelf from the King Tiger feeling somewhat undergunned. :haha:

Yeah....I'm collecting anything British post WWII but am in two minds as to whether I should purchase this Fairey Gannet off HMS Hermes.....I know my choppers have rotors but a 1970's aeroplane with rotors hmm :hmmm:

http://www.aceshighcollectables.com/...cordPosition=1

My collection is still boxed and will remain so sadly, until one of the ankle biters fly the nest.

Bought an ottoman bed the other week to keep them safely stored at room temperature etc. and that is already half full :DL

Just been over to your thread (sorry I missed it) and you have a cool little collection of your own I see.
