Nice work stoianm:salute:! I tried it and like it.

At night, there's a nice dull look to the water. I don't think I saw the water color changes like that before, so it must be this mod.

I am using your blue water mod as well. When using this mod's "stoianm EnvNights compatible blue Atlantic water for MO", it conflicts with the actual blue water mod (I accept the overwrite when enabling it), so does that mean we can disable the other blue water mod?
Yes , you can desable:up:

I'm not using MO, though. Will that cause any problems?
If you are using the env5 then should be the same thing - if you are using other env mod than i will not use these ones because will change not only the night and water color but all the env colors:D - so do not use in this case

Things like this are great eye-candy, but should affect both us and the AI fairly equally. I agree with mobucks in that visibility-related mods shouldn't allow us to float right in like we're invisible, but on the other hand, AI shouldn't be able to spot us like they're sitting right beside us, regardless of weather, distance, time, etc. I say this, because lately since TDW added those radio intercept sounds, I've been paying more attention to the messages, and have realized that ships can spot my periscope in the dark night from over 3000m away. Are they that good that a pack of ships are all always able to pinpoint my location in the dark like that, and then immediately report it? Kind of makes you wonder.

I tested in an hist mission - the dds reacted the same way with and without the mod:hmmm: - so i can not understand how you can attack a dd with this mod and he can not react - i am agree that you can spot them from a longer distance - but is the same thing like using scopes filter.
So, my point is, to make an clear exemple for me and i can maybe remediate if is a real problem of the mod - and if you will do more test for the mod you will se that i did not incresed the visibility -
i tryied to make an immersive night visibility - when is ful moon you have hight visibility if the clouds cover the moon you will have less visibility and if is storm the visibility will be very low

Here are the photos that i made in game: the same place, the same time and date, diferent wheater time - you can easy observe how the visibility change

NORMAL WEATHER
http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...malweather.jpg

HEAVY CLOUDS WEATHER
http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...eavyclouds.jpg

STORM WEATHER
http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...afterstorm.jpg

Please do not mistake this mod with the other mod of mine ,,brighter nights'' - IT IS NOT THE SAME THING - I DID NOT INCREASED AND I DID NOT DECREASED THE VISIBILITY - I TRYIED TO MAKE AN IMMERSIVE VISIBYLITY

Anyways, good job!

Please read in yellow - manny thanks for your apreciations - i am happy that you like it

7Infanterie19 02-26-11 04:42 PM

Sounds good. I'll disable the other one then. Thanks!

I think that yours is the only mod I use that changes those things, so I should be ok then.

I haven't been able to see all the differences like in those nice photos, but will see them as time goes by (I look forward to it, actually! :)). You gotta love great eye candy! :D

If there are any things that I notice that are odd, I'll definitely let you know.

@stoianm - FYI:

I've noticed that my system slows down a lot now when I'm on deck or using the external camera since running this mod.

i will check this out... slows down means you have low fps or you have slows movements?... did you unninstalled the mod and the problem was gone?

I was just going to edit my previous post, but see that you already responded. I wanted to add that this slowdown happened when a task force or convoy was nearby while I was on deck or in the uzo. Without activity in the area, there are no slowdowns. The slowdown refers to getting slow response from my mouse when trying to take actions, or trying to move my view, etc. I guess we can call it an FPS problem too.

But .....

I just started up and loaded a couple of saves where there was a task force or a convoy nearby, and in both instances, everything was normal :o. I'm now thinking that there may have been something hogging my cpu yesterday that may have affected things in-game. I suspect the culprit was Windows update installer. Since the Windows 7 service pack update has come available, it always prompts to allow the update (it doesn't ever complete when I allow it, and I've read on the net that others have the same problem). That thing is a hog. I stopped the update and installer services and moved them to manual mode this morning. We'll see if this works.

I'll keep an eye out for slowdowns just in case. If there aren't any, then maybe this was a false alarm :hmmm:. My bad!

No problem my friend - i would say was a false alarm because my mod not use anny dds or some other files that can kill the FPS (i only play with cfg files in my mod) - i tested near a big convoy and my computer was ok
if you have slow downs the mod soup can be a factor also - so if you will have this problem in the future i think the best ideea is to check out your mod list and some settings in video game settings

cheers

Funny, I experience similar stuff on my pc too. Yesterday I installed the w7 updates and since then my pc is laging. Including SH5 where time by time I have the same issues as described by you. Today I had to reinstall SH5 as I was unable to start it, soon as I passed the loading screen, the game crashed. And I have similar performance issues with other games too.

I suspected that the updates are in culprit, but I have no clue which one to uninstall. If you find out something, let me know.

Regarding the mod, works just great and I really needed something like this. So thank you for this mod Stoian!

I've read that the service pack has caused a lot of problems with game lag for a lot of people, and not just SH5. I'm glad the install wasn't successful, because I want to hold off until they get it corrected. Magnum, you should be able to uninstall that service pack to bring your system pack to its earlier state.

Are you using stock moon or another mod? If the latter, what is it? My moon (Ail's moon) hasn't been looking nice lately - more like a round blot for some reason.

Hi my friend !

I´m going to test the additional version of your MOD, but I think I don´t like the dark control-room ! On the picture it looks like in my opinion too dark....:hmmm:

Best regards,
Magic:salute:

strange you say that but is more bright than in the dark interior version without my mod:hmmm: - so maybe it is my photo... test in game and if you want i can make more bright for you:up: (supousing you use the dark interior mod)

EDIT: Dark interior mod make the interior submarine darker - if you like the textures but you want to have more bright in your interior submarine then delete the cfg and filters folders before enabling the dark interior mod
