That looks like Provo, Utah.
:hmmm:

Yup. Truthfully, thats where my Fiance is from. Most of her family is there, and neither one of us wants to raise a family in CA. So that sort of narrows down the where and why, doesn't it. :D (edit: and no i'm not mormon, so this will be interesting. lol )

Edit: Oh, it's Utah? Nope, never been there. Ummm... that's a nice looking hill though. Blue sky. Okay, I got nothing.

Ca sales tax is 9%.

I know they've driven up housing prices there. (note, I was using the steamwake speller checkerz)

I had a co-worker that wanted to move to TX, so I looked over her shoulder:D, at housing prices there, and holy crap, what I could afford there, I'd live like a @#$%@%$ king!:shucks: Most entry level houses are >220k here:o And they gang rape you with property taxes here!:stare:

Wait for it....

:har:
Nothing wrong with provo. It is a great place for a family though. But if you like to party, you're moving to the wrong place. What brings you to provo?

oh, and look out for the traffic from UT valley to SL valley.:o

Curious how you knew it was provo:06:

I use to travel the U.S.A. doing flooring.
I've been to nearly every State.
And my memory for Land marks is very good.
:yep:

I could drive to Texas and end up at Neal's house.
But don't ask me how to get there.
I have to see things.

I spent three years at the best kept secret of the whole Air Force. Hill AFB, UT.

Nice place to live. Friendly people. Beautiful countryside.

It would not suck if I found myself back there.

Utah was the first place I ever saw Thunder and Lighting during a snow storm. Most interesting.

I got out right after I turned 21. The sad state of the state wasn't the reason, and my family still lives there, but that's what happened.

We did.

And yes, that's the town named for Etienne Provost, but why anybody would live there is beyond me.

Just watch out, south provo has an animal rendering plant!:o And I believe west provo has the gang problem:06:. All the rich people live on the east side (next to the mountain and on the fault line:o) Great mountain biking if you're into that.

Back in the '70s I saw a billboard that said "Come to Provo, the fun spot of Utah!"

Let's see. A college town, and the college is Brigham Young University. That's not the fun spot of anywhere. :dead:

I take it you have never dated a co-ed from Brigham?

They can be a lotta fun once they are "off campus" :03:

Some of my more dog-like coworkers back then used to expound on the advantages of traveling to Provo bypassing the more secular schools in the more local area.

Ahh them were the days. Getting old sucks. :shifty:

What's the difference between a BYU coed and a garbage can?
The garbage can gets taken out once a week.

Yes, it's possible to find some fun in Provo, but it's hardly what you could call a party town.
