Mine is fully upgraded/tuned.

Originally it would redline at 100 in 4th. Now it redlines around 200 in 5th. :haha:

And the HP is now somewhere near 700.

More shots of my Mach 1. This time on the Cape Ring track.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...eriphery_1.jpg

This Wide-shot is just awesome, in my opinion. Shortly afterwords I had one of the best non scripted moments in any game.

For those who haven't played Caped Ring, at one point there is a large curve that loops the track back upon itself, but onto a higher level. Think of the spirals you see in Parking Garages. This spiral is fairly close to the starting grid, and due to several curves before hand you can't really get into 4 or 5th gear.

The music that was playing is this slow tempo that has beats every so often, and then the beat picks up and you get your "racing" music.

I was in the "spiral/ring" while the beat was slow, and just as I was coming out of the corner, and pushing the accelerator to the max is when the beat picked up.

Although I did not know that there was a dip in the road shortly afterwords, which lead to this:

Houston, we are airborne.

Came down and started fish tailing

Some fancy counter-steering and throttle usage and I'm back on track.

751 bhp fully upgraded.:D TBH, I wish I could stop upgrading my cars so much, it makes the game very easy. Might RM it but at 175,000 cr it seems a little steep.

Anyway, time to save for the Ferrari only race in professional. I think I need an insane amount of cash for that one.

Unless, someone already has a Ferrari that qualifies and wants to loan me it. I can bung a few thousand credits of upgrades on it as a thank you.

BTW, if a particular race is causing you trouble, like the Jap pre 90's or pre 80's only (waiting for the used cars to rotate etc), shout and I can loan you one to compete with.

mr chris 12-13-10 01:01 PM

Dan, I am going to be buying this for the Ferrari only race in professional.

Ferrari 599 '06 - Cr. 320,300

Plan on adding Engine Tuning Stage 2, Sports ECU, Racing Air Filter, Titanium Racing Exhaust and Hard Racing Tyres.
Then it should be good enough to do the job in both A and B spec.

Have got just under 1m Cr at the moment. Just saving up a bit more Cash while Golding the last few events in Amateur and professional in both A Spec and B Spec.
Should be getting the Ferrari either tonight or Tomorrow if you want i could send it over to you when i have finished with it.

danlisa 12-13-10 04:27 PM

LOL, could have done with seeing that post earlier.

I've bought one now and added everything.:D Man those Ferrari 'scream'. Give me the 'throaty' car any day.

Will loan it if you haven't already spent the money.

Probably my second fav car so far, second only to my Buick Special '62. That thing really goes lol, I mean it was pretty damn good stock at 540BHP, I upgraded it juuuust a liiiitle bit to, um, 860BHP. :arrgh!:

seaniam81 12-14-10 06:28 AM

how does the camaro drive fully upgraded? Just with the sports stuff on mine it can be a handful at TC set to 3?

Herr-Berbunch 12-14-10 06:37 AM

I need to sell my kids, wife, parents, house (even though I rent!) and then maybe I can get me one of these PS3s :wah:

I've been tinkering with the idea of buying one that's got the r/ylod and fixing it myself as a cheap way in - anybody done that themselves?

I've repaired a few.

It's inadvisable to get your foot on the PS3 ladder this way. A home repair on a YLOD is temporary at best, maybe a couple of weeks, perhaps a couple of months, but it will croak again.

The only permanent fix I know of is called a REBALL. 90% of all YLODs are caused by overheating making the lead free solder on the RSX and CELL chips melting and detaching the chips from the motherboard. A REBALL removes all the lead free solder and replaces it with leaded solder and reattaches the chips. I have only seen this service offered in the US for around $70 and I do not know the guarantees.

If you could find a PS3 with a Bluray drive failure then that is a better option as they are relatively cheap and easy to repair but you must ensure to get the correct Bluray laser cradle for the specific PS3 model.

Unless you can envisage using a PS3 for all of its services and games, it is not financially feasible to get one purely for a single game.
