Loading a game. Setting the Kiel canal waypoints. Leaving the computer for a few minutes. Returning to discover you've set the Kiel canal inbound rather than the Kiel canal outbound waypoints, and your navigator has run your boat across the harbour and beached her on the opposite bank.

Ahhhhhh ****!

Possibly when I have a perfect salvo shot lined up on a nice heavy ship (Say a large merchant, basically in excess of 10 tons) and have double checked depth, impact or magnetic, and spread over 5 times to make sure theyre right only to fire and hear my tubes open and watch two valuable kriegsmarine resources swim harmlessly by the target :( Very saddening, and embarassing

Kaleun screams "Bernard!"

navigator turns around and says, "Hey, your name's bernard too!"

Lining up a long distance shot on a micro-convoy (two ships in a line) that's running with lights out in the middle of the ocean. Fire a torpedo at the trailing tanker. It hits, but the stupid ship won't go down. Put a good 10 shells into the thing before it sinks. Go to the map.. and a green sunk symbol appears. Run up to the other ship, and see a Brazilian flag flying. Screw you, Brazil. If you're neutral, light up your ship!

Oh that's just how they got rid of their criminals in those days...

Also discovering that you've mix up Columbia and Venezuela's flags, while one is neutral... Grrrr

Being sunk by a neutral.

Having an entire torpedo load out that are duds.

Encountering 2 large convoys in one week. trying to drift quietly into the first one, having the lead DD pick you up and force you deep, missing all the good targets. Then while trying to sprint ahead of the 2nd one in thivk fog, you practically crash into the flower escort, at 400m. You fire off a snapshot at it before he can bring his guns to bear, sinking him. Guess the cat's outa that bag too now.

When the flight is delayed on departure, :damn:

Zajc3w 11-08-10 06:40 AM

when running at periscope depth, silent running turned on and motors set to 50rpm and DDs hear me from about 4km. Happens three times in a row last night. First when aproaching dunkirk haurbor, second on dover and third in french canal hunting for convoy. All torps missed, first time i´try to evade-lack of air killed my crew.... And it´s november 1939

When you stop a ship in the water and the flyboys show up and steal your kill.

GT182 11-08-10 08:06 AM

When your computer's motherboard chits to bed on you and you lose everything..... that's the worst Ahhhhh @#*& there is. I'm just recovering from that ordeal.

When you first start playing, before knowing any better, and you pull alongside a merchant pumping round after round into it... only to see it spectacularly explode and take out your deck crew and damage your boot! :nope:
