"Bomber und Aufklärungsflugzeug Junker Ju188 Original Autor SOM Group Rework (C) 2010 by Testpilot1978"
The read me I have is in German and I am not fluent enought to make out if I have to add lines or not and in which folder ?
Soem of the aircraft I have downloaded do not have any readme
I would like to know if you need to add any thing in any files when you add a plane like "Blohm+ Voss 138"
Please Help!

A little Add on WIP.
http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n...8_MS_Addon.jpg

It will be in it's own dat and will be assignable by Loadout
so someone could script MineSweeping operations.
:)

Super

Looks great. Question for modders in general.
Is this unit a remake or recolor of an existing unit, so that it might appear in game?
As I see it, without that it would only be seen in an editor made scenario. Am I right?

Madox58 11-04-10 03:36 PM

It's a new Unit 'borrowed' from SH5.
:03:
So scripting will need to be done to place it in Game.
Maybe 'borrowing' from the Campaign stuff in SH5 will speed things along?
:hmmm:

@Rowi,

A flipped face I think?
:hmmm:

Hi privateer,

my be, but i didn't have such a problem with the BV 138. Sometimes, S3D didn't show the faces in a correct way. Have a look at the BV 138 "in game".

Greetings

Great work! I love "Mausis" There is a great Ju 52 "Mausi", made by Testpilot untill now. Could be found on my Mediafire page, first folder.
Looking forward to your release.
But one question: Wouldnt it be easier for most people to use if you made an seperate aircraft? Same way Testpilot went with his Mausi.
Best regards and a great "Thank you" for this lovely bird.:salute:

PS: If possible you should leave the "upstairs rear gunner" at his place. Most Mausis had this position for defence.

Hi privateer,

i've tested tespilots version of the BV 138 in Stock SH3. The object is o.k. But the plane will not keep high and crashes on the sea. May be a problem of the rudders and rear wing - testpilot reduced the numbers of rudders. Or is this a problem of the SIM: the entry "Wings/Left" calls for the "B&V_138_right_wing"?

Greetings

Good idea to make it in a seperate DAT and activate it with the "Loadout function".

Yes, the sim should have a left wing and right wing entry in it.
Not 2 right wings.
So drag is not being placed properly on the wings.
There is also no Rudder objects.
Not sure if that would be an issue?
But it is easy to seperate the rudders from the small wing object and
state them in the sim.

On the Faces issue:
The small wing object has to many verts for SH3.
(Probably all 3D parts are like this)
It's the way the objects are built for SH5.
This may confuse S3D at times for some reason?
Mesh Lab does a quick job of welding those verts
thus reduceing file sizes and fixing issues like this.
:yep:

If you guys continue "borrowing" things from SH5 at this rate, one day I will find Dan Dimitrescu sitting at my table for breakfast saying "Well you know I was working at home when suddenly Privateer did something and now I have been downloaded to your home" :har:

Not actually.
They still require scripting into the Campaign.
To reduce file sizes at loading it's better to have this as a Loadout option.
When one scripts them into the Game?
Just select the DegaussRing Loadout for Mine Sweeping operations.
Done this way it also reduces the chance of ID/Nameing conflicts.

:haha:
I'm not after Dan for DL.
It's some of the main programmers I'd be happy with.
And not for SH5 stuff.
An early version of Kashmir would stop all plans to send the
'Secret SH3/SH4 Kashmir Retrieval Team' to Romania.
(We call them 'Skirt')
They would have had the Mission done by now but.........
Most of them are over weight, married, to old, and to out of shape to send past the Corner Drive-Thru!
:D
