Elmo is the only non-human or puppet ever to testify before the U.S. Congress. At the request and with the assistance of Rep. Duke Cunningham, he testified before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services and Education in April 2002, urging support for increased funding in music education.

I'm not a big colbert fan... i dont even have Comedy Central.

I was a fan of Jon Stewart when his humor was more "late night" action show jon kind of stuff.

but i have to tell you. i thought this whole Colbert testimony before congress was the biggest waste of time. Why would they even have invited this guy to testify?

Maybe Elmo again? He was first invited by a Republican in 02.

*Edit*

:haha: Great minds think alike, I guess.

I would have had that guy tossed in jail too if he didn't leave when asked.

Exactly!

But of course, that would have served to further embarrass the left ergo practically silence.

This is what the dems always do. Waste time and try to distract the people from the real issues. Lets see how hard they're laughing come November. Its funny that the only joke they laughed at was when he refered to them all getting along and getting things done. Thats telling.

Rilder 09-30-10 10:25 PM

Meh Colbert is better then the jokes called "Politicians" that perpetrate.. well our entire government. :O: He's a better source of news then anything on fox at any rate. ;)

Or CNN and MSNBC for that matter.

Your politicians are just the same as politicians the world over, they deserve contempt.

So, all you people who want the Dems to lose the Congress are at LEAST millionaires, right.? :har::har::har::har::har:

Now why would that make a difference? Can you explain it?

I hate to have to disagree with Colbert (The serious one) but his claims are bogus.

I love how these growers say they spend thousands trying to hire Americans and fail. Yet they refuse to do what will actually atrract them which is increase wages.

What they are paying now is not living wage and they ought to do somthing soon because whoever closes the border for real or gives illegals amnesty. Few are going to want to work there anymore.

They are killing the middle class for your information, not the rich so much yet. I suppose if you like socialism, its a good thing. I assume you are refering to tax cuts for wealthy business owners to help promote job creation, what an aweful idea huh?
