I appreciate your taking the time to advise, but there's no ActiveUser in my folders. I searched with no luck.

But again, thanks.

There's not even a folder for Saved Games, so I don't know where they are stored.

It should be in
mydocuments/SH4/data/cfg/SaveGames/*/ActiveUserPlayerUnits.upc

not Silent Hunter folder
