I'm also surprised you didn't pick up "walla" as well... ;):O:

My best point is that I'm just as willing to be corrected as I am to correct. Thanks for that - I should have looked it up instead of going on memory.

As for "walla", I'd like to say I was being kind, but the truth is that sometimes I just miss things.

@USNSRCaseySmith

You have left something enabled (mod wise) when introducing the GWX sceneDat file, hence the dark sky and light sea.

Ensure there are no residual files in your set up prior to the installation.

How do I ensure there arent residual files. Idk even know what residual files are :P but either way I reinstalled SH3 and commander and GWX all into just the plain C drive and it seemed to fix it :rock:

Post 10 and post 12.

Residual files are exactly and simply as the name suggests: files left over at the end of a process, in this case uninstalling SH3. The uninstaller does not uninstall all files, only files it installed, so the new v1.4 patch and GWX files remain behind to cause havoc when you next install the game over the top of them (hence why I wrote earlier if you reinstall elsewhere it won't be such an issue, but for housekeeping purposes you should still get rid of them).

According to your other posts though, it seems that you are now working fine though. So just remember to keep out of Program Files, set autorollback to "on" in SH3Cmdr and whenever anything "odd" happens, disable all mods in JSGME first before going any further and you should be right from now on.

See Jaesens post above....I use a registry cleaning programme as the final part of the process before carrying out a new installation.
