The details tab on the properties windows of the SH3.exe executable file should prove if the game is allready patched to 1.4(.0.1) I don't have steam myself, so I can't be sure if they have the same version number. I therefore also don't know if Steam requires SH3 to be located in it's (Steam) folderstructure in Program Files, or that it is allowed to instal the game in a customized instal location. But getting it out of the Program Files folderstructure makes modding alot easier in Vista and 7.
