While I have no interest in proof or how people choose to play their game, I feel the need to correct you on this. You can quite easily sink a BB (and any other ship) in the stock version of SH3 using just a Deck Gun. The shells were overpowered and the damage zones for nearly every vessel were, for want of a better word, f*cked.

Why do you think Deck Gun ammo and use was such a discussed area (ah memories :) ) and why do you think the very first supermods totally remastered all the damage zones in the game.

So, by all means continue to rape the OP for bragging etc but don't base your reasoning on a falsehood.

Precisely.

Crud! :o

I never did, back in those good old days when stock was all you got. :damn:

Are well....:haha:

There is no chance to sink a BB with just a 88mm deck gun. A single shot of the 16 in guns of this monster will tear the sub apart even in the stock version not to mention with GWX. There , and at this close range your sub will be filled with 16in holes and you will end up as fish food. I have never tried this even with stock version only. It must have been a bug there.
Amazing : Mexican stand off between a sub and a BB! Wow!!

Von Harris, welcome to SubSim. Recognize me?

JokerOfFate 09-15-10 12:31 PM

I disabled him at long range then closed in and GWX makes it easier you're weaker but so is he.

Svendog I use a gender code, Warships are male and merchants are female

Gawd, those graphics are terrible. :O:

I'm not bragging, I said about it and people asked for proof so here we are. To be honest I don't want to keep repeating this either so I'll gladly drop it if everyone else will.

Taking out small guns with flak

I thought it was impossible to destroy enemy ship guns in sh3/4. Is that just the case for merchants or did I misunderstand something?

JokerOfFate 09-15-10 01:37 PM

On detroyers and merchants you can.
But on Battleships you can only temp. disable them

VONHARRIS 09-15-10 01:52 PM

Hello K - 61 Yes , I recognized you.

Ah, I see. I think I'll maintain my usual stance of caution in the presence of armed ships regardless - I've made it to mid-41 so far. Thanks

The 16 inch guns typically have very poor aim, haven't been hit by one in a situation where I was surfaced near a battleship. Its all the small faster ones that have near machine gun speed that tear your boat apart 99% of the time.
