What was the source of the Western European DNA?

Lets suppose at the time of Tuts death that a bunch of Egyptian guys started migrating up through Europe looking for chicks.

Having found some (Western European chicks being easy), their DNA starts making the rounds.

3,000 years pass. A whole lotta DNA mixing going on.

Scientist looking at Tuts DNA compares that with 20th century DNA in Western Europe and finds a match. :hmmm:

Or are the scientists comparing Tut DNA stains with DNA from Western Europe 3,000 years ago? :hmmm:

I aint no scientist.. yet, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express once and it just seems to me that the article is a little light on the source of the Western European DNA.

At what time? Has this stayed steady for 3,000 years or does this change over time.

Are they comparing Tuts DNA with some of Tuts drinking buddy's great great great......great great grandsons and daughters?
