Apparently, it's possible to lose men that way in the game.

I told a friend of mine who plays SH3 about the men washed overboard, and he said he lost 3 watch crew that way once in heavy seas. They were there one moment, and marked dead the next. He said it wasn't from enemy aircraft.

I don't know if such a thing is actually possible in the game, but I usually run submerged if the seas are that rough, only surfacing to ventilate the boat and recharge the batteries. Next time I'll put only one guy on watch, just in case. :)

The phenomena you are describing above is not possible in game as far as I am aware :nope:

I agree, and I've certainly seen my watch crew under water often enough. I've never seen it reported as happening either. But I can imagine it easily enough, if conditions are just right.

He did mention that his watch officer did not die at the same time, which makes death by drowning in a wave unlikely.
