Aside from what appeared to be an Irish plane of some type flying off the west coast of Ireland in my last career, I think those are the only two planes I've seen so far (other than friendlies over a home port). |

If you'd like to see some aircrafts just go to the mediterranean sea, it's plenty of them down there.

I'm sorry, but what do you mean? |
I recently installed NYGM and now everytime I travel past Scottland they come out in force like mosquitoes (With alot more bite). Daily straffings have become an occurance.
This has absolutly nothing to do with GWX but If you want loads of planes, thats where I found them |

Just to make sure I made a 1943 boat and sailed out of France, I wasn't even 100 miles out before a Wellington was bombing me, so now I know the aircraft work in my install. :yeah:
Edit - I See the question was answered in another thread! |
I'm on my first campaign and have GWX installed, am up to September 1940.
I spotted an aircraft once each during my first 2 war time patrols. I think it was my 4th or 5th patrol where I spotted aircraft 5 or 6 times and was attacked 3 times IIRC. This was SW of Scapa and down the Scots coast. Luckily I had enough warning and was able to dive away each time and avoid their eggs. Since then it's been quiet. These are all North Sea patrols along the British east coast in my IIA U-6 :) -kwm |
Had my first early war aircraft sighting last night, Late September/early Aug off the west coast of scotland. was putting a stern Eel in a crippled freighter when my watch screamed "Aircraft spotted", and since I had just watched the first part of Das Boot again recently, I screamed "ALARM" as I pressed c
Then after the anson<sp> had dropped it ammo and bombs, I asked my navigator "how much water under the keel" and when he came back with 7 meters, (while I am crash diving), i almost messed my pants. tried to level off but still dinged the bottom. turned out I crashed dived in about 40 meters of water in a VII. :shifty: This also was SW of Scapa on the scot coast, and I will make sure to keep sharp eyes as apparently there is early war air coverage in that area. |
