1988 in Calgary felt like a lot bigger victory though, beating the Soviets in the final game and edging in front of Sweden to second place, Soviets took gold. Edit. Congratz to the Germans for victory in their opening game, rare thing for them to beat USA. |
Wow... that was a good game. I´m just back from the TV and still excited. :woot: Hope we can do the trick again... be prepared finland :D
|
We won? (Germany)....:woot:
What was the score? |
Germany - USA 2:1 (0:0 / 1:0 / 0:1 / 1:0)
Micheal Wolf scored first in the 26. minute. Ryan Carter made the 1:1 in minute 49. The overtime lasted only 21 seconds when Felix Schütz tipped the shot in the net. |
Was good game!
|
Hear, hear. Have the Germans got new power-pills, or what? Were they that good - or were the US boys that bad on that day? Have not watched the match myself...

I do echo your question though: USA that bad? :O: Krupp and Maybach characteristics showed through. |
About Krupp I only know that he was defensce player himself when still being active, and that he left his future as coach open so far. Of his special characteristics I am not aware. But who is Maybach? Psychology or co-trainer?
:O: |

plenty of gas in that tank of Maybach's! He has said in recent press releases that he would like to have Krupp back for another season. Krupp has made a public anouncement recently to counter that with: "Maybach and me make a good team, i may be back" |
|
That was a great game. Saw most of the Div III matches here in Luxembourg. We're up to Div II next year :D
