I've been thinking about turning malfunctions on, never played with it enabled before.
Might spice up my patrols. :DL Thanks for the heads up Jimbuna, now I have a clearer idea of what to look out for. Doing a series of seaworthiness checks on the boat just after leaving port seems like a very good idea. I must say, those jammed dive planes sound very worrying. :DL |

Haven't heard anyone discussing my old sabotage & malfunctions mod in a long time. Good to hear it's still causing a little uneasiness out there LOL!
One thing to remember is that there are two types of problems that can hit at random times. One version is "repairable at sea" simply by saving the game and reloading. The other is good for the entire duration of the mission. This second version is the reason why you always want to do a complete systems check of your boat before getting too far away from port. The biggest headache for me was the one where the fuel consumption goes through the roof when far out to sea. Cheers! |
