You could always bring a note from your mother.

"Please excuse my little Pauli from duty today, as he is running a slight temperature and is allergic to air cover."

Similar problem. Different cause.

My Radar won't stay on in rough weather, and Heavy Fog always comes with 15 MPS winds.
My last install didn't have this problem, and I'd realy like to fix it, but don't know how.

There isn't a fix as far as I am aware....it's simply that the game thinks your submerged when you pitch momentarily into the water and switches it off.

As far as the weather....save then reboot the game because the game engine throws an imaginary dice to decide what the weather conditions are.

The reason your radar didnt stay on was probably rough waves coming over the radar reciever? :hmmm:

It's strange, Jimbuna.
My original install (Stock, patched to 1,4 by me) had the default radar setting as "ON".
If I didn't manualy turn it "OFF", it came on automaticaly, every time I surfaced.

In my new install (Encore [much better!]), the default setting is "OFF", meaning I have to manualy turn it "ON".

For this one feature, I find the original install to be better. My reason for getting radar, at all, is so I can travel in low visability without suffering a collision. (On a clear day my lookouts outperform the radar.) If the radar does not work for collision avoidance, I see no reason for having it.

I'd have no complaints with that, provided the radar came back on periodicaly/periodicly (en sp?).
