Guys, the photos I posted above are of two different people - the first is Irene, the second is Ina Ray Hutton.

Anyway, what's a thread here without Carole Landis...

"It's been a long long time" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard from that time. It is really a very nice song. A classic.

It is very nice too "You belong to me" and "Always" (sung during WWII).

What a trip !
It would be wonderful.

Women at that time had a wonderful body, beautifull look but also other voices that today. When they sang, you felt love with a big L coming out of their throat like come on through the ages.
When a woman said to you: "You'll never know how many dreams
I've dreamed about you" you could be sure she did not cheat.
Today you watch "telephone" by Lady Gaga and you want to vomit.

I'm happy in my submarine fully closed.

So true, agree 100%... I feel so well too inside that submarine...

"When the men where brave and the women beautiful" said someone. True, femenine, and strong women, for whom you could sacrifice your live.

Problems? sure, but so many good things, and so good... Count with me to go back to the 30s and 40s when you want, even with the war.

One of my (many) favourites. Deanna Durbin (she is still live, and living happily in France, afaik). At side of his excellent look & character, she sang in a way that few ones could reach, and no-one today that's for sure (let alone the artisitc levels of photography during these years, gosh...!)

PD. Sorry for the size, I am in work and I don't have access to any tool to reduce it...

Deanna Durbin, such a wonderful lady....sadly, she withdrew from public like after the death of her husband in 1999.

Thats really great, can you just tell me,did you edit the size via photobucket (what are the dimensions?) and then install into /commander/images?

I wonder if the radio room effectiveness diminishes in relation to the increasing 'sexiness' factor of the compartment?
