With this version we move on to shaders, very experimental work, I do not really know
what I am doing, I have Ati5770 and my hacks seem to work ok for me but for Nvidia gards,
it may be different.
SkyPS_SH5

I added * 1.5 to end, and hope that now sky blends better and there are less color banding.
To VolumetricFog I returned all commented out program lines and hope for better 3D fog.
Underwater is now green like in Das boot and Battle under Orion = Japanese das boot.
You can see u-boat at periscope depth from air but not near depth 20m or more
Also I hope that Undersea clouds bug is fixed. Now I wait for Patch 1.2 release.

In SH4 when i DLd a mod that messed with fog it made it so i couldnt "target" ships in fog that i could clearly see, will that happen here? Better fog is awesome only if it doesnt mess with how ships see each other.

more OT.:

what about a morning mist that hangs low on the water? that would be cool.

Setting sun, sky blue bug fixed. Had to reduce SkyPS_SH5 * 1.5 to * 1.35.

Morning mist" Yes that woud be cool but may affect ship spotting distance:hmmm:

First I swear this will be the last update before patch1.2.
Volumetric fog shader removed from mod. Ships funnel smoke adjusted, you can see smoke on horison. Env variables adjusted again, day is now bit lighter, as it was getting too dark with all the adjustements.

Never happened to me, if you take from mod a folder at time and then activate mod, then at least we know in what folder the bug is:hmmm:

Screenie says more than I ever could. Note the lack of banding that has spoiled the sky up until this mod was released.

Thank you for your work it looks amazing. I`ve just one question about greenish underwater effect, is it realistic or is it based on underwater shots from Das boot?

On a clear blue sky day the transition from the very blue surface to the pea soup underwater is a tad jarring imo. otherwise, nice mod :yeah:

I'm not a big fan of the green soup but the skies are freaking gorgeous with this mod. I changed the underwater back to the clear blue which I like and removed the sounds. Other than that I'm at awe when headed out. :o :)

Fantastic job with this mod... no more banding in the skies. :up:

Yes Das boot and also Battle under Orion = A new jab sub movie like Das boot.:D
:salute: I know there is a lot work still to do. while waiting for patch 1.2. I have worked with making horison a bit
misty, and also for better fog effect. but when you change one shader a bit
it affects another in unexpected way:damn:. If DRM is a pain to player it is
a hell to modder:cry:you change someting a bit and then wait loong time to
see effect in game:yawn:

Hmmm swearing about updates is no good thing for a modder.:oops:
Uderwater is no longer a caramel green but green tinted blue. If you
want stock underwater back, go to SH5EnvModV2.0\data\Filters\ColorCorrection folder and
remove hdr_underwater file.
Max wave height and lenght redused for 15m storm, to reduce flying sub effect.
Shader and filter adjustements. Funnel smoke adjusted etc. works now better with fog I hope.:DL

That should fix it without mentioned reductions. It does for me.
..or reduction should be optional separate mod.

And You know... storm should be still storm! :up:
