@andredr: You have installed SH5 to your "Program Files" folder, the first cardinal sin when using Vista or Windows 7.

You will find your mod files sitting in your VirtualStore\SH5 folder. If you do not know where that is, pls research UAC.

Seee here for more information regarding JSGME. Pls note the Vista/Windows 7 Users section under "Installation".

@Webster: FYI common problems such as dupe folders will be covered in the above link when I get some time over the coming week.

thanks, that will help a lot of people avoid that mistake and might i suggest you mention never to try to unzip mods directly into jsgme as quite a few people get the idea to do this.

just some FYI about my windows 7 64 bit (dont know about 32 bit)

it doesnt have the same issues as vista does with the programs thing, it organizes thing differently (the programs folder is split into 2 programs folders) and it will automatically install games into the main directory outside of these program folders so the default install locations can be used, it just makes any changes it needs to on its own

Hi TheDarkWraith

Here is a snapshot of my MODS folder ( on the left).

what we are asking about is:

open the OPCF_sh5 folder found in the jsgme "MODS" folder and tell us (or show us) what you see there, it should just be a folder named "data"

if you see another folder there called OPCF_sh5 then THAT is the actual mod and the only one that should have been placed into jsgme.

He did. Check his last screenshot again...folder structure prominent and looking A-OK to me.

problem solved

Hi all

I had alot of problems using MODS. None of them worked and now I now why.

First: I did a first installation of sh5 where it wanted to install. I saw that it wasn't in "Program Files" so I uninstalled it and put a second installation in "Prgram Files". Not to do.

Second: When I installed "JSGME" it went in the folder of my fisrt installation: Ubisoft silent hunter V and not in the second folder in "Program Files". JSGME did not read what was in the second installation even if my mods were all there. It read what was in my first, which was empty. I just copied and paste the second installation in the first location and everything is now working fine.

Thank's to all that have tried to helped me....

Hope that this will help some of you

i did that a few times when i had multiple installs of sh4 but i learned to manually create new shortcuts with identifiable names for each install so i didnt have any more issues like that.

Hi

I also have a problem with the Darkwraith mod.

At the periscope I do have the extra dials, working fine.
I do have compas, rudder.
But not fuel, O2, etc. and those are for me the most important. :) I hate the SH5 percentages in a menu style.

Help would be much appreciated. I probably do something stupid.
