Got a 5770. Fantastic card for the price, (about $150) Runs everything in game maxed out, including shadows.

I have the same Dowly and SH5 makes the cooling fan spin like mad! :yep:

Which producer of the 5770 would you recommend?
I want a card that does not make too much noise :)

Gigabyte, Sapphire etc?

I only can tell everybody at least one time in year build out your card, open it and clean the cooling channels. Is not enough to only clean the fan, you really must open it to get acsess to the whole cooling block and clean it.

Same for your notebook. A friend of me call me the laptop of his wife is became slow....I was wonder why the keyboard is so warm and after download "coretemp" the dual-core was idling at 90C

After open it and take the fan out there was so much dust, hair and other rubish stuck between fan and cooling block....

...my grandma kniters a Pullover out it for me ;)

Tne Notebook now is idling at 48C Coretemp....

Good point

I had glitches with another card, but got it cleaned in time.

This time it looks like some parts got damaged :(

Hi,
if you have one of the 9xxx series Nvidia chip cards, beware of the latest x75 drivers ! May melt your graphic card, this patch or driver version has been therefore withdrawn.
See appropriate thread not far from here ...

Greetings,
Catfish

The drivers I have been using was from early feb through early March.

But in any event...are they going to replace cards fried?

Did you have the new 196.75 Nvidia drivers installed because they have been frying some PC's by causing the fan on the graphics to stop.

See alert message on left hand side of link.

Guess what happened to me?.. :damn:

I updated my drivers for SH5 and bad company2..
My XFX 9800GT ****king died because of that!!

Bought a MSI R5770-PMD1G (ATI) last Saturday, no more Nvidia for me after what happened!
