So how is this comodo security suite going. Ive read some reviews where they wouldn't touch it with a 10foot pole yet others praise it as one of the best security freeware. Im asking this cause i think Avast 5 needs to go on my machine i just realised that when i disable the antivirus before loading up a game (disable permanently until next restart option) in the task manager theres still 3 files running which you can't disable. This just causes unnecessary latency when im running BF might only be a tiny bit but its important i get zero of this especially when i have to connect to UK or US servers. Only way i can get rid of the avast files running is to delete avast altogether. Avast is good imo for the non gamer other than that's theres too many files running in the background for gamers and what the hell does the disable option actually disable!
Whats the resource hog with commodo if any at all. I suppose i should just install it and find out. Nod32 was the best when it came to light resources but that aint freeware :damn: |
CIS 4.0 is at least as good as CIS 3.0
It's light on system resources unless when running the AV scan. CIS 3.0 was much lighter with the AV scan running. I would commend it Some people do not like the sandbox feature and I suggest to either turn it off completely or to switch off the automatically run unknown program in it. Trying it wouldn't hurt as it is free. Don't forget to give your experience feedback and post them here. Happy good Friday to you Frank.:salute:. |
Happy easter to you as well Castout. I brought Age of Empires 3 with both expansions & haven't been able to get of this game till now :)
Will download Commodo tonight. |
Running v4 since a week. No problems so far. If there is data collecting happening, I am not aware of any such traffic.

Works like a charm. Had problems with the firewall in an early version but this one seems to not give me any trouble.
