^ I'll ask the obvious as no one else has.

Do you have the GWX specific config files that need to be used with SH3 commander?

If not, get them from here: http://www.thegreywolves.com

Oh, and before JS gets here, I can assure you that there is nothing within SH3 Commander that could possibly cause the trouble you are having (short of user intervention).

Good luck in your tests.

Yeah, I've got the configs, I did it all exactly as I was told to.

Like I said, I played stock with no problems and I played GWX without problems, no other mods installed. It just seems logical to me that as the problems started after installing SH3Cmdr then it has to be prime suspect for now.

The game shipped unfinished and that's a fact, if it hadn't then there wouldn't be a thriving modding community here, if it wasn't for their efforts then this game would probably be collecting dust on a lot more shelves.

AND WHAT GAME DOES EVER GETS SHIPPED FINISHED???

tsk tsk... every game has bugs. EVERY GAME.

Not all games are like sh3.

Period.

That's because the game industry treats gamers with contempt.

And that is why there is no point in saying that there is any possibility that Commander gives you CTD simple as that.
just look how many threads there are about this problem but it must be a stock game problem.
I used Commander for a short while and as you say my saved games CTD and also once when I was minding my own cruising along CTD!. I uninstalled Commander and it has never happened again I play Stock LSH3 WAC4.0 no CTD.
Strange isn't it. Coincidence maybe some users also get CTD and don't use Commander but I wonder.
And as for you cant replicate the functions without using Commander try playing with the basic file then. :haha:

Now I see what you are saying Sea Sap. I never used SH3 Commander and can not comment further on the CTD. Stock or using GWX I did not experience these saved game problems.

The vast majority of SH3 Commander's users haven't reported problems despite the milliards of possible combinations of hardware/software/mods out there. I think that Jaesen Jones would be the first one to be happy if you find and report a problem that he can fix to improve his outstanding program.

So I'm closing this thread for now, but PM me when you have conclusive results in yoru testing and I'll reopen it for sharing and discussing them :salute:
