Except it would probably require modeling a good chunk of the Pacific Theater too, I'd imagine.
|
AFAIHR, SH5 is atlantic only, so forget any pacific stuff.
|
If SH5 is developed right then at some stage in the future I hope I do see modders adding stuff to the Pacific, because that would mean Fleet boat integration, which would hopefully mean that other nationalities could be added too (Axis and Allied).

There should have a new thread just for whining. I don't want to make bashing on anyone, this is just really annoying and endless. When it will be time for a new PTO to come out, i wonder if i'll be willing to support it. :hmmm: |

In Clive Blair's famed books "Hitler's Uboat war" he mentiones several times different special missions carried out by U-Boats, which were very similar to what American counterparts did, although not so frequent:
-Minelaying -Landing spies and revolutionaries in the Ulster -Rescue aviators (In Norway during Operation Weserübung) -Bring supplies to troops -Land sabotage commandos (In the Mediterranean) -Escort blockade breakers back to France |

Mookie-one u-boat was ordered to wait off the coast of Canada to pick up Otto Kretschmer who was to escape from POW camp.
I saw an old movie made about that. One hell of a story. The ONLY german airman to get shot down, captured, sent to a Canadian camp, escape, make it to U.S. [Before involment], to south america, and back to Berlin. The movie was realy controvetial at the timethey said, because a REAL german played the main character, where most British movies used Brits, I guess? |
