I doubt I'd be able to speak that quick

that's a mere 1.3 words/second, I think that's pretty slow for talking

I'm able to hit up to 95. But I've had several years of typing classes.

Ah, typing classes were nice back in school. Our teacher was this burned out old tard who knew almost nothing of computers, so she also didnt know that there was a kinda quick save/quick load function in the program (prolly programmed by Jesus himself as it was ooooold) we used. But jebus, she should've raised some suspicion when half the class were getting straight A+'s from the tests. :haha:

Ow and the best part was, that you could actually go in and modify the text that you were supposed to type. So me and few of my mates decided to color up the dull stories 'abit'. :rotfl2:

Hmm... I wonder what happened to that teacher.. she cried about everything all the time, think of Brooke from Bold & Beautiful, but slam her face with a baseball bat a few times and you get roughly what resemles our teacher of the time.

Back in my day Dowly it was manual typewriters. I was going big time when I got an electric Smith Corona typewriter. Computer was something in Star Trek at the time. :-?

Had a computer at home since 1992, still am not a really fast typer.

SteamWake 09-30-09 09:57 AM

Im a self taught touch typist.

I learned at a very young age in my teens.

I learned so that I could copy morse code at higher rates of speed than I could hand write.

After a while there was a disconnect of the delay of hear the dits and dahs translated into which key to press and it became almost subconcious automatic.

At that time I could copy code at 60wpm, talk on the telephone, and read a magazine all at the same time.

Now Im lucky to copy code at 30wpm and get it all correct. :yep:

I can still type pretty fast though.

But I still cant find one of these !

"Your speed was: 48wpm.

You made 5 mistakes"

Damn, I got flashbacks of the typing class.

Edit. I also got loads of numbers in my text, I can't ten-finger-type numbers.

Dowly 09-30-09 10:09 AM

Your speed was: 46wpm.

You made 3 mistakes

Hmm... better than I though. :hmmm:

HunterICX 09-30-09 10:09 AM

Practice makes perfect. :DL

Your speed was: 64wpm.

Congratulations! You made no mistakes, practice does make perfect.

Jimbuna 09-30-09 10:28 AM

Your speed was: 24wpm.

You made 1 mistake, your mistake is shown in bold text:

It was nine o'clock in the morning

And that was all I typed :DL
