So more realism means more renown? |
i only use renown for rank, otherwise it doesn't play much part of my game, i've created my own little "Wallmart subs" file which just alters the cost of all items in the game. that way i don't have to worry about things costing the earth and getting demoted...

OK, I put 74% Realism and went to Southend again. Now I sank 2 Coastal Merchants, 2 Large Troop Ships and some other small ships.
I earned about 1500 renown. |

You could always cheat and simply alter the amount of DeltaRenown. |

You explained me the DeltaRenown issue in another topic. However, it did not work at all? I changed it to DeltaRenown=50000.000000 (in base before patrol) and nothing happened when loading the game. :hmmm: |
As long as it's not your first patrol and SH3 Commander has been rolled back there is no reason for it not to work.....it's a CFG file in your saved game folder, a fundamental file you can't continue your career without :hmmm:

mmmm... I have at SH3 Commander always at SH3 Options >> General Settings >> "Rollback automatically after exiting SH3" CHECKED. BTW, It's not my first patrol. Is that the problem because of "Rollback automatically after exiting SH3"? :salute: |

I would think sinking a HOOD or any battleship would be worth more then sinking a merchant ship. I guess in RL sinking A BB would be a big reward..but in this sim sinking a battleship is a waste of time since Germany lost or would lose the war anyways. AND GERMANY LOST THE NORTH ATLANTIC TO THE BRITISH LONG BEFORE THE WAR WAS OVER so knocking out a BB in this game is a waste of time apperently. IMO..sinking a BB with escorts should give you more reknown then any merchant ship. But then I don't hunt for Merchants I hunt for capital ships. |
