Thanks Armistead and Munchausen!

For example, I could use the "R" key for Max range at current speed and "Shift R" for range to course end?

besides finding the correct config file and adding the "R" and Shift r" to the command, what exactly do I need to do? Keep in mind you are Not describing this to someone who know alot about modifying config files,(I mean someone who know NOTHING about it) Thanks! Joe S

:hmmm: Try this:
  • Make a copy of your default OrdersBar.cfg file and put it in a safe place.
  • Open the old OrdersBar.cfg file with Notepad.
  • Go to [Station2]
  • Find the last command for Station 2.
  • Add the following command to the bottom of the Station 2 list ...
Quote:

ButtonnCommand=Report_time_to_turn
ButtonnIconRowColumn=7,3
ButtonnTooltip=RANGE AT CURRENT SPEED
... where n equals the last command number (for Station 2) plus one.
  • Save the file.
  • Run the game.
  • Cursor over the "new" icon ... it should say "Range at Current Speed."
:timeout: If it doesn't (or you don't have a new icon), replace your modded file with the original. And ask for more help.

That option is not in the STOCK version of the game. I just downloaded TMO and noticed it was there, so that's particularly a nice feature.
