EDIT: Ow you forgot one part EA: And remember the game needs to get E for everyone rating! Devs: But... you do remember this game's about the Manson family? EA: Yes yes! Just replace the blood with flowers or something... you're the devs, come up with something. |
What's the big whoop about this anyway?
CryEngine 3 is only the 3 edition of the Crysis engine and it just so happens that it's specifically for the consoles. Just means that the PC will get engine version 4. As for scaling down the gfx, physics and effects, that demo doesn't look to shabby.....so in your face you non console owners.:O: |

Danlisa, I'm not so sure. A while back Crytek was moaning about piracy and how they would move to consoles. Getting stuck with a console port would be less than ideal. :hmmm: |

Now, Crytek may or may not have made the move to curb the piracy but my opinion is that PC sales tanked and they need to recoup some costs and the easiest way is on the consoles. Having a port come to the PC isn't necessarily a bad thing. If Crytek have proved one thing it is that their engine is uniquely scalable. I wouldn't imagine that the PC version would suffer to much. At least not as bad as GTA4.:haha: I'll hold further opinions on this demo until I see full res ingame footage. Engine demos are always better than the final product. Damn hype. |
hmmm... I wish crytek would get a better publisher than evil arts.:yep:
And also, The pc version of crysis is always gonna be better... 1 It is highly modable. (look at all the mods/levels at crymod.) 2 sandbox editor. 3 more buttons for more options. 4 patches are easyer to get... just go to there download page, download, instal. I never have liked consoles. Everytime a new one comes out, you have to buy a new one. Quote:
