What games do you have installed right now thread in Other naval games board.

The Thief games are never off my HD.

I may seem incongruous, but the Thief games are very, very similar to games like SH3. There's an awful lot of quiet, cautious movement, stealthy observation, the weighing of risk versus reward and that nice balance of power where you have an ultimate advantage while you remain hidden, but as soon as you reveal yourself (or are detected) are incredibly vulnerable.

Thief 1 & 2 and SH3 are the only games where, after a play session I am left feeling a kind of mental and emotional exhaustion from being so drawn in to the atmosphere and being on edge the entire time.

Great games.

Edit - this isn't including Thief: Deadly Shadows, the third game, which is an abomination for a multitude of reasons.

Im a big RPG fan and a fan of Morrowind but Oblivion left me flat.

I played it all the way through twice and just got to the point of "If I see one more gate Im gonna scream". All the 'gates' interiors were nearly identical.

Cant really tell you why but Oblivion left me flat.

There is a new RPG comming out by the good folks at BioWare Im really looking foward to "Dragonage Origins". Supposedly following the Baldur's Gate tradition which is a very good thing.

IL-2 1946
Red Baron 3D
Hearts of Iron II (with TRP)
Victoria: Revolutions (with VIP)
Conquest of the Aegean (I have to say this one is just brilliant, hope they make more wargames with the same system)
The Operational Art of War III
Jutland
Empire: Total War
Red Orchestra
Silent Hunter 4
Neverwinter Nights 2
Battlefield Heroes Beta

I'm looking for an Il-2 compilation pack, but I can't find it anywhere. Local gameshop doesn't have anything Il-2, and the webshop where I always order only has original and a couple expansions. :-?

BTW: add Dangerous Waters to the list, think I'll be firing that up tonight. :yep:

You can get il2 1946 from ubisofts site as a download for 10 dollars.

Arclight 04-23-09 02:04 PM

I can get it for 8 at my regular shop. :D

But isn't that just an expansion? I mean other Il-2 games listed there still cost 20, would be weird if the entire compilation then costs 8. Is 1946 standalone? There's so many Il-2 stuff it makes my head spin.

What's "eat" and "sleep"?

The ego of a gamer is directly proportionate to the size of his collection. That, or the size of his videocard. :yep:

Raptor1 04-23-09 02:06 PM

1946 is standalone and includes everything, so there's no point in buying anything else

No its a standalone that includes Aces expansion and some other stuff.

Arclight 04-23-09 02:13 PM

Awesome, thanks. :salute:

Btw I've been spying over on the Flightsim forum. Would really like to have a flight with the guys, if that's possible... and if you'll have me. :rotfl:

Will take a bit getting the hang of it, more used to flying jet-liners instead of fighters, but I'm a quick study and can follow orders. :yep:
