 Starting to look real nice!
yeh, the coloured bands on some ww2 warbirds are a pain in the butt when it comes to decal parts. like with my stuka, I gambled too  finished the paintjob sealing it with the spray. every decal went fine.... now the yellow tail band. fitting it, no problem...mmmm...slightly off... let me correct that...*scratchs*:o Fffuuuuuuuuu......ck :dead::damn: so in the future, when I'm able to replace the large decal by paint I'll do it. paint you can easily correct...a decal you can not :shifty: HunterICX |
If you use the decal solutions, either by Microscale, or Gunze, or any other- you get more time for decal possitioning. With Microscale SET and SOL you apply the decal on the drop of SET, manage it to required place, and take the excess of moisture away with the corner of the napkin. Once happy with the way it looks you apply the drop of SOL, and smear accross the decal. At this stage touching the decal is not adviseable, as it starts melting, an schrinking. Do not despair, just wait. Once dry it will return to its previous state, but will nicely sink in the surface of the model. It will look like painted on.
