I'd say a lot of this Obama paraphernalia is sold to people hoping to cash in on it's collectors value in a few years.

Oh, and he got elected President. He's done something. I actually feel sorry for people that see no significance in his being elected. YOu don;t have to agree with him to realize what a signofocant even it is for this country. But if you don, *sigh* you don't..... |
I'm inspired by the thought that in my lifetime we have made the changes that Enigma spoke of. Obama himself? I'm waiting to see how it turns out.

Some of his comments, particularly the one practically worshiping labor unions, are starting to bother me. And I've disagreed with him on a lot of political points from the start. But, as been said, he hasn't really done anything yet, so only time will tell. |

Read a few back bro.....when this cash grab Obama has spearheaded comes crashing down you will find these items in the trash or at the $1.00 table at the local church bazaar. The first stimulus check was cut months ago....we ain't seen nothing! Since he has been in office the stock market has done nothing but go down! Face it. The stock market has crashed but DC is not going to utter these words. Hell no! Time will be spent handing out billions and advising this will take years to fix. In the mean time DC will hope to hell it all works out. |

Read it again Enigma....those before Obama that sweated and toiled are inspiring. No where did I say this was not relevant. I said these folks are inspiring. MLK, Tuskegee Airmen....relevant and inspiring. Where did I ignore anything? Did I say it was not significant that he was elected? No. I said I was not inspired. Ok. So? Another day sparing with Enigma! :D |
Hrm... Bush wasent a president then I take it.
Look Id love to continue to argue with you but its a waste of my time. You seem fixated on this mouse thing yet the wetlands project remains in the bill. I looked for it but its hard to find amongst the 9,000 other earmarks. I see a lot of denial in your statements "Grass Roots movement without Royality" by that Im hope you mean Royality as in the royal family and not financal compensation. If it was the latter you would be sadley mistaken. |

I was at the library this weekend - my son's chess club had a fun meet, and while I whiled away the time reading - a woman walked in. She was wearing an Obama for President T-shirt. She asked, in a rather loud voice - "Wheres the meeting at?" This was pretty much shouted out to all the patrons.
One of the librarians approached her and asked her what she meant. She responded by loudly proclaiming that there was supposed to be a meeting of the local democratic party and she wanted to know where everyone was. *I guess this meant that none of the library patrons were good democratic worker bees?* Anyway, come to find out she said the meeting was supposed to be at the local polling place, but that was the fire department down the road and no one there knew anything about it, so she was told to check at the library. With children in the meeting room playing chess, it should have been obvious there was no party meeting. The librarian courteously suggested that perhaps the woman should call the local party office and inquire. The lady got rather perturbed that no one seemed to be informed as to the meeting and its location, and stormed out ranting about how everyone in the biulding must be a "damned lying republican" because we were - and I kid you not - out to deprive her from attending the local party meeting. All I can say is I understand how Obama got elected now - its summed up in one word that describes the "average" voter today (of any political stripe)..... CLUELESS |
