@mengle

Is your wac running fine on vista?

I want to play it but cannot stop getting ctd even after several re installs, and running outside of programme files section of the drive.

I have vista 32 bit, nvidea gs7900 and 3mb RAM, 2,4 twin core processor.

All other versions (GWX 3.0, U Boat 1.2, MEG) play well with no ctd.

As for the water question above, mine looks superb on above spec machine, and with GWX 3.0 I run olce2, olc gui special, GWX 16k atmosphere, gold, flat sun fix for gold, mano environment pro 1.1, improved wave textures 16k green atlantic, desga HD foam moonreflexions for olce2 and it runs like a movie- brilliant!

Thanks to all for great mods. :up:

If You like to check water difference between two GWX versions [setings and textures] You must open Scene Dat file, and Env dat files in S3D for example.
Maybe also some sim files. This is Scene dat file example, and Env Sky Atl example opened in S3D:

Click twice on the "red" markered areas and check everything, and other sub nodes. I don't markered a few. You must download S3D program first of course. This is not so difficult as it look. S3D. Great program by the way:up:
Do a copy of your orginal files first.:yep:
Cheers.

Hello Robbythesub, i think that you had messed up your mods.disable the blue marked mods (no need to run them if you run M.E.P, but if you left them there it doesn't really matters becuase M.E.P. is overwritting them)
BUT you must ,for sure DISABLE the red marked mod.It containes a sence.dat file and this file is messing the M.E.P. (If you want to see how M.E.P. really looks you must disable this ).remember that M.E.P. has already moon reflections.
the ''desga HD foam'' (edit: or ''Jaketoox foam'' is the correct name...hmm) is ok . i run this one too. credits to Jaketoox for this one
the ''improved wave textures 16k green atlantic'' can't say becuase a don't know what this one containes.please open this one and write his containes(all of them) and i will tell you if it is ok to run.
ps: i assume that this is the ORDER of your mods in jsgme list.right?
bye

Hi Makman

Thanks for your message and I will disable to moonreflections as I did not know that.
The order installed is as follows-

@Robby,

the '' olc gold '' containes the three mods above it.so disable the three first and run only ''olc gold''. (The ''flat sun fix olc gold '' is no needed as when you enable M.E.P. WILL BE OVERWRITTEN but leave it there in case you want ,at future, to disable M.E.P. )(The ''flat sun fix olc gold'' is needed only for the olc gold to work ok )
the '' moonreflections for olce2 '' and the '' 16km green atlantic '' MUST BE DISABLED becuase the first one is messing the scene.dat of M.E.P. and the second is messing the colors.
the ''improved wave textures '' is already inside M.E.P so there is no need to run it.
enable your mods with this order and then you will see what M.E.P. is...

bye

Hi Otto

That looks good thanks, and mine is below with MEG

I have not tried the nygm mod since I thought that it was for lower spec machines, and mine is able to handle the more power hungry mods.

:up:

MEG looks nice also. NYGM loads faster probably because it doesn't have all magor naval battles scripted as GWX does. It probably can run on lower spec machines better but isn't a lite mod by any means. My computer has an AMG Quad Phenom 9500 and 8GB RAM, GeForce 9500GT card and has occasional slow down at 1024 in GWX. While I can TC at 2048 in NYGM in open sea. Of the two NYGM is tougher. I had 6 DD's reinforce the Convoy escorts in grid AM36 in early 1940. In NYGM you have to really consider how close you are to enemy ports before you attack. Pretty much going into any of the channels West or South of Britain is a nogo. Much like in real life I think.

I have added some aspects from GWX into NYGM. I now use the sky environment from GWX but kept the sea environment from stock NYGM. I like the nights darker.

Nice. I like that the blue isn't so bright makes it look more natural. Where is the link to nhancer?
